Indian Economic Association Trust For Research and Development

The Indian Economic Association Trust for Research and Development came into existence in 1987, after the successful organisation of the Eighth World economic Congress by the Indian Economic association (IEA) IN 1986.  The Indian Economic Association Trust for Research and Development is an autonomous Trust, established under the Indian Trust Act 1882.

The activities of the Trust are governed by a Board of Trustees.  Professor Sukhamoy Chakravarty was the Founder Chairman of the Trust.  He continued to be the Chairman of the Trust until his untimely death in the year 1990.

Dr. Manmohan Singh is the current Chairman and Dr. C. Rangarajan is the Vice-Chairman of the Trust.
